Pre- and Post-Nuptial, Relationship and Domestic Partner Agreements
Not all transition is negative, but even positive changes can be destabilizing. Relationship agreements serve to formalize financial arrangements, whether or not anticipating marriage. These agreements can relieve relationships from stress and hardship, as well as lay a foundation of thoughtful precedent for any future changes. More importantly, they give the couple an opportunity to have thoughtful and intentional conversations about challenging topics to help avoid misunderstandings and false assumptions during the relationship. With my broad experience with the many facets of family law, I can work with clients to anticipate and head-off issues with compassion and balanced agreement. My clients also have the option to engage their negotiations in the Collaborative Law model, embracing transparency in supported direct discussions with their future spouse and their attorney.
